With all the rain the last few days, the Sir Walter Buffalo instant lawn we laid a couple of weeks ago seems to be taking hold quite well. Come spring and we will have a few plants in the garden too.

Before you ask, the pole and chain link fence is staying 'cos we like it. Dino has volunteered to give it a fresh lick of paint. The fence is one of those funky things we both like and see as very Australian. Its a shame so many folk think we should rip it out and replace it with some sort of pseudo Victorian picket fence or 2 meter high brick wall and huge gates.

the beach at beacon cove opens just in time for winter. you can walk along the pathway or ride along the psychopath from sandridge beach to port melbourne now, and on to st kilda and brighton

I've been teaching night classes at work this week, which prompted the question When does evening end and night begin?

The terms 'night class' and 'evening class' seem to be used interchangably, but there is a big difference between staying out all evening and staying out all night.
