a post from dino

well i got an email from my mum & dad, saying they were worried that I hadn't put a post on the blog for a while, so here it is!

whats new? well i can't tell you that, I know Joe wants to keep it as material for the radio show, not the real mccoy, that starts back on JOY this saturday, 9-11pm AEDST. Then we can tell you all about what we have done over the spring break, including such delights as shopping at Coles, watching tv, eating sultana bran.....

so boys and girls, dont go meddling with that dial, tune in to 94.9, sit back, relax, stock up on junk food and let us entertain you

it seems that all the comments we used to get on this blog were simply spam, cos since we have put the anti-spam verification thingy in place we've not had a single comment :((

oh, and I do so miss those "great blog, but why dont you visit my site and get a free leaf-blower" advertisements too.

Ahh no tripod with us , so had to resort to sticking two pictures together (badly) again, just to give craggles the opportunity to tell me to get some photo-merge software ;)

This is the both of us picnicking on the beach at Rose Bud on the peninsula. Despite liberal amounts of sun block I still managed to miss a bit and now I have a visible tide mark tan line under my arm (though this might just be a new fashion statement if Pop Idol is anything to go by)

what we did this weekend

Saturday: took the bus into the CBD which was full of what I thought was either drag-queens or bridesmaids, but turns out was 'ladies going to the races'. In any case, there was so many hats with feathers in it was like being in the birdhouse at Melbourne Zoo.
We then got on a tram to South Yarra to see David our architect to see a sample of the doors for our kitchen-to-be. The choice of finish was two-pac or vinyl-wrap (both of which sound like hip hop artists). We then waited a mere 30 minutes for the next clattery old tram up Toorak Road to Richmond for another visit to the door handle shop. Yes, we know how to live it up at the weekends. We changed our minds from last weekend, and have since changed them again.

Sunday: We hired a car for 2 days, as Tuesday is Melbourne Cup Day and we have both got Monday off work. Drove out to Mornington listening to Disturbed, took in the sights of Frankston, had a picnic at Rosebud Beach, was pursued by a motorbike up the curly road to Arthurs Seat and went along to sneer at the new showhouse they've built on Edithvale Wetlands. We then went out for dinner to The Curry Club and had some very good cottage cheese/potato balls in tikka sauce. Oh, and spicy rice pudding made with long grain rice.

Monday: I bought a new bike! Pics to come soon (I'm picking it up next weekend)
