At last! Half way thorough week 42 of the build and the wrappings are finally off the Alucobond clad roof of the new addition to the House.

Early evening picture, so the sun is going down in the west behind the side of the house.

Had a comment yesterday that they thought the house was huge, its not, its the wide angle lens I'm having to use to get the whole picture, makes the place look big but by Australian standards is a little house even with the new bits.

Where is Dino ('s Parents) ?

My Mum & Dad are on their way, sailing in from New Zealand, via Tasmania, arriving into Melbourne on Monday morning. So lock up your chocolate!

The ship is The Diamond Princess, which has its own webcam, so we've been checking up on the sites on a virtual cruise with them. There is also an internet cafe on board, great for a web-junkie like my Mum. Last time they were here we couldn't get them off the computer to come and eat lunch - talk about role reversal. I'll be getting them to tidy their rooms next....

Week 41 and the Alucobond is finally going up on the Lounge room

Poor Georgia, Tony's wife (or neighbour if you have not been following the Dino and Joe saga) , is loosing it a bit and she said to Tony that she was very happy with our house but does not like all of the writing on the roof. She wanted to know if it was going to stay that way :)

wonky washer

our washing machine went wrong at the weekend. we put on a load and it just stopped in the middle, full of suds and cold. we checked the receipt to see if it was still under guarantee, as it is not that old. we bought the washer in november 2003, 2 years and 2 months ago. it has a 2 year guarantee. enough said.

we tried the traditional method to get it working again (checking the instructions - no help), and then resorted to more alternative means: Joe doing a special tribal dance and chanting in a strange foreign tongue, culminating in lifting up his top to reveal his belly tattoo. the washer hasnt dare to misbehave since then.

Asked yesterday during the show if I had ever had long hair. The answer is yes, this is me back in 1999.

And no , its not a wig or and extension of the hat!

It is dyed though, I'm 39 in this picture and grey hair had set in years before :).

This is Billy as an adult, living his life away at my Parents house. Sadly Billy died a few years ago, but his sister Nina is still ruling the house with my parents, she's an Old Lady now though.
Billy never was the ideal show version of a British Blue unlike his sister, however his personality and character was the best in any cat I've yet had the privilege to live with.

During the show yesterday MP was disappointed that Dino and I are not getting British Short-hair Cats.

So hopefully to appease her, this is a picture of my British Blues - Billy (the bold one) and Nina (taking a back seat) , taken when they were kittens. You can tell its the late 1980's with the house colour scheme, Grey carpet, Black Ash stairs etc.
