Am I the sickest boy in Melbourne?
...cos I am off work sick again. Finding it difficult getting over my throat infection, and having a flu vaccination on Friday probably didn't help. So I have spent a lot of the past few days sleeping.
We also have a revision to the NTRM restaurant review of Waterfront. We went along to get a sandwich at the cafe on the pier at the weekend, but they were not serving food cos their kitchen was being renovated. Then I remembered that just outside Waterfront was an outdoor cafe, so wanted to check out what they had. It was mainly seafood, they had some sushi but the display cabinet was right in the sun, so we thought hmm, how fresh is that gonna be? Joe then saw that they had a sushi bar just inside the restaurant (with seats round the counter), so we went in and asked if we could sit there. They said 'sure', but then just left us there with no menus or anything. So for about 5 minutes we were sitting there wondering if we were supposed to be there. Then there was confusion over the size of the California rolls, which I thought were the most expensive and least tasty sushi I'd ever had. The one redeeming feature was the sushi chef who was very good-looking bit of rough. But overall, we did feel like we had sat down in a window-display at Myer and then asked to be served....

Thanks for the good wishes and sushi recommendations. We tried going to the place opposite Coles in PM, but it seems to be closed at the weekends.
Will look out for the one outside Melb Central (the noodle place above it is good). And we've not been to Chinatown yet, any specific places to try there? One of my workmates says theres a great sushi place in chinatown but cant remember whats its called and says you'll miss it if you dont know exactly where it is.
Sushi place in Chinatown is a tiny sit-down resuarant, tucked away in an arcade,on your left as you walk towards Elizabeth St direction.
